Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of student knowledge through the method of self-assignment on the material on biodiversity in class X-MIPA 1 SMAN 2 Indramayu. The method used in this study is the Pre Experiment method by using an experimental class without a control class. Experimental research is a type of quantitative research with a single- shot case study design). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the level of knowledge of students through the self-assigned method of exploring the surrounding nature on the material of biodiversity at the ecosystem level can be categorized as high with an average value of 61%. Based on the results of the analysis of observations with an average of 60% of students can find and classify animals and plants found in the surrounding environment, and based on the results of the essay it can be categorized as high because students are able to answer questions about biodiversity material with cognitive domains (C1, C2, C3, C4) with a percentage of 61%. By using the self-assignment method in this pandemic learning period, it affects the achievement of curriculum learning objectives with basic competencies, namely students can analyze data from observations and indicators of achievement are students are able to know biotic and abiotic components. Teachers are able to adapt and create learning strategies during this pandemic so that curriculum goals are achieved by using the self-assigned method of exploring the surrounding area, making students able to understand the material and be able to apply it in real life, by using the self-assigned method of exploring the surrounding area to open insight and find things. the new one.
